No Country for Old Men

Cormac McCarthy's terrific modern western is a perfect fit for the blunt instruments of the Coen Brothers. It's a slow, violent story about greed, rage, and the slippery moral slope of the twentieth century. Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin lead a brilliant cast in what is not only the best Coen Brothers film in a decade, but one of the best films of 2007.
